Raathi breed of cattle is found & reared in Alwar, Bainsor and Naarneel districts of Rajasthan. Pure breed of Raathi cattle can be found in between Mundayad and Naarnecel districts. Their maintenance cost is very less. This is milk breed, originated from sahiwal, sindhi, tharparkar breeds.

Physical Characteristics:

  • Raathi is a medium built, long but strong bodied animal.
  • Skin colour varies from white to grey.
  • In Bulls, skin colour on neck and shoulder is darker than the rest of the body.
  • Muzzle is broad and black in colour.
  • Eyes are Broad and shiny.
  • Horns are small and rounded.
  • Ears are small and loosely bent in downward direction.
  • Neck is long and attractive.
  • Hump is well developed and chest is deep and heavy
  • Short tail with black ends.
